airu is a band from Bilbao, Spain. These two new singles follow the footsteps of their 2020 EP “Do It for the Catharsis” and confirmtheir talent for luminous indie pop tinged with melan-choy. In her immediately recognizable voice, Irune Vega examines romantic entanglements while reverbed guitars and synths remind the listener of a summer landscape after rainfall. Con las ventanas tan grandes me da vergüenza mirar and the more up-beat Voy tan deprisa summarise some of pop’s most beautiful aspects: magnetism, charisma and a certain fra-gility, as well as warm-hearted melodies which make you want to dance in spite of the tears.
